New Delhi, September 28, 2024 — The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) is set to host the prestigious 44th Awards for Excellence in Book Production on Monday, September 30, 2024, in New Delhi. This annual event celebrates and recognises the exceptional efforts of publishers across the country, showcasing the finest in book production and craftsmanship.
About the Awards
Established over four decades ago, the FIP instituted the Awards for Excellence in Book Production to promote internationally comparable standards in book production. The awards have continually acknowledged and honoured the diverse contributions of publishers throughout India. This esteemed competition aims to inspire publishers to elevate book production quality, encompassing physical attributes like paper, printing, and binding and the crucial elements of design, typography, layout, and overall readability.
Indian publishers take immense pride in producing literary materials that meet global standards. The FIP Annual Awards are the only national awards within the book industry, drawing an overwhelming response from publishers nationwide.
Distinguished Guests
Two eminent personalities will grace the awards ceremony:
- Smriti Zubin Irani, a notable politician, former cabinet minister, acclaimed author, and celebrity, will present the awards, bringing her extensive experience and influence to the event.
- Hon’ble Justice Ms Hema Kohli, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, will also grace the occasion, underscoring the significance of this event within the literary and judicial communities.
