India’s Combat Sports Gets a Major Boost as Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC) Announces High-Scale MMA Event in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, India – 2nd April 2026: India’s combat sports landscape is set to witness a significant moment as Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC) announces its upcoming Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in Hyderabad, scheduled for April 5th 2026. Positioned as a large-scale, professionally organized fight night, the event will feature a mix of professional and amateur MMA fighters from across India.

With approximately 10 high-intensity bouts planned over the course of the evening, LFC aims to bring a structured, premium fight experience to Indian audiences, a format that has largely been limited to global platforms until now.

Bringing Structured MMA Entertainment to a Growing Indian Audience

The rise of combat sports in India has seen increasing participation from fitness enthusiasts, fighters, and audiences alike. However, large-scale, professionally curated fight nights remain limited. LFC seeks to address this gap by creating an organized platform that combines competitive sport with high-quality event production.

“India has the talent, the audience, and the growing interest in combat sports. What has been missing is a consistent, large-format platform that brings everything together. LFC is a step in that direction,” said Ata ur Rahman, spokesperson associated with the event.

A Platform for Both Professional and Emerging Fighters

The event is expected to feature a diverse lineup of fighters, including:

  • Professional MMA athletes
  • Amateur fighters stepping into larger arenas
  • Specialists in grappling and striking disciplines

This dual-layer structure is designed to promote emerging talent, provide visibility to grassroots fighters, and create a competitive yet inclusive ecosystem.

Live Audience Experience and Digital Reach

The event will be hosted in Hyderabad with a capacity of approximately 6,000 attendees, offering a live, high-energy arena experience for fight fans.

In addition, the event will be live-streamed on YouTube, enabling wider access for audiences across India and beyond. The digital broadcast is expected to draw tens of thousands of viewers, reflecting the growing appetite for combat sports content.
