Closeup Of Groom Looking At Bride During the Wedding Ceremony
A groom’s public display of affection led to a clash between families after he kissed his bride during their wedding in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The wedding venue in Hapur’s Ashok Nagar turned chaotic as the bride’s family assaulted the groom’s relatives on stage following the kiss exchanged during the varmala ceremony.
Outraged by the groom’s actions, an argument broke out between the two families. The situation quickly escalated as the bride’s family members stormed the stage with sticks, attacking the groom’s family. Six individuals, including the bride’s father, sustained injuries in the brawl.
Police were called to the scene and detained seven people from both sides. The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to the police, the bride’s father had arranged for the weddings of his two daughters on Monday night. While the first wedding concluded without incident, the second ceremony descended into violence.
The bride’s family claimed the groom had forcibly kissed her on stage, while the groom asserted that the bride had requested the kiss after the varmala ceremony.
Senior Hapur police officer Rajkumar Agarwal stated that no written complaints have been received from either family so far, and action will be taken upon receipt of a complaint.
